Do you have a fear of Public Speaking? Does the thought of standing at the front of the room and delivering a speech fill you with dread? Are you being held back at work because you don't want to give a presentation in front of a group of people?

If you answer, 'yes' to just one of these questions, then coming along to a one day Public Speaking course will help you move forward and conquer your fear.

The course is being led by comedian, broadcaster and teacher, Claire Rowley. Claire has taught for many years – public speaking, acting and confidence building skills and her classes are held in a fun, relaxed and inspiring manner so you'll want to come back again.

The one day Public Speaking workshop will be held in a supportive environment in the Old Bakery's event space and consist of the following:
Public speaking exercises to build confidence:
·Dramatic Openings
·Rant &amp; Rave
·Q &amp; A

Who you are:
·Tapping into your personality, creativity and authenticity – being yourself
·Give your credentials – short &amp; sweet
·Throwing away bad habits
·Correct posture
· Breathing and relaxation

How to prepare an effective speech:
·Theme stated - - sound bite – deliver your hook
·Speech structure
·Persuasive argument
·Humour sells

Getting your key message across:
·What are you trying to do?
·What's in it for them?
·What's your promise?

Delivering your speech:
Practice makes perfect!

0900-1400pm (30 minute lunch to prepare/polish speeches) on Saturday 14th March 2020.
