Overview

This course looks at some of the recent changes to Pupil Premium guidance.

Course Description:

This course is being delivered online, and a recording will be available for up to 30 days after the course has ended.

This course explores what schools can do to drive social justice and tackle society’s inequalities.

It starts by acknowledging that it’s not about ability. Schools need to take a learner-led not label-led approach and convert the causes of disadvantage into tangible classroom consequences. Then they can move from equality to equity and do more for those who start with less, including in the form of:

  • Quality first teaching
  • Adaptive or responsive teaching
  • Additional interventions
  • Extra-curricular and enrichment

This course is suitable for:

Headteachers, deputy deadteachers, assistant headteachers, pupil premium coordinators and leaders, SENDCos, aspiring senior leaders, middle leaders, subject leaders, pastoral leaders, pupil premium link governors.

Facilitator - Matt Bromley
