Puppet Animation Scotland: The Tin Forest
Mon 3 April 2017, 15:30 – 16:15 BST
Edinburgh Libraries are delighted to welcome the Puppet Animation Festival for a series of special performances in Libraries across the city during the school holidays.
A lonely old man lives in a dreary junkyard, full of other people’s broken and unwanted junk. He dreams that one day his world will be full of life, colour and sound. His wish is about to come true…
An uplifting, humorous and touching show, full of visual invention, puppetry and live music…with mechanical birds, a wind-up circus and exotic animals. Based on the book by Helen Ward – illustrated by Wayne Anderson and published by Templar – this production uses a rich, wordless visual language and style.
Founded in 1990, PuppetCraft is based in Devon. The company creates quality, inventive puppet theatre, presenting shows and workshops to a wide range of audiences: children, families and adults throughout the UK and internationally. Puppetcraft and its founder John Roberts are renowned for creating striking productions presenting beautifully crafted puppets in stunning sets with atmospheric lighting and original live music.
