Event description

Description

Learn to make a small rod puppet using designs from your imagination. You will sculpt a miniature puppet using polymer clay amongst other materials and a range of small tools. Fran Malone will take you through the process – starting with designs based on what inspires and intrigues you about puppets, through to creating your own little character and finally bringing it to life.

Workshop dates are Sundays 14th, 21st, 28th May and 4th June. These will take place at ‘Strike a Light Arts and Heritage’ at the Open Market in Brighton. Materials will be provided, alongside tea, coffee and biscuits. Fran will be happy to answer all your puppet related questions along the way and share some puppet making secrets!

This course is aimed at adults - it is suitable for beginners or those with experience wishing to create a new character.
