Our vision is for a future where being creative and experiencing brilliant culture is a regular aspect of EVERY child’s life and learning.Fuelled by curiosity, we work to make high-quality creative and cultural learning opportunities available to all children and young people, both in and out of school. We do this by connecting teachers and youth workers with artists and creative practitioners; giving them access to information, expertise, space and resources to facilitate collaboration and innovation in the field of creative and cultural education.

<h3>Do you want to grow the diversity of the artists you work with? Come and meet new international participatory artists for work in schools.</h3>Curious Minds and Community Arts North West are delighted to be hosting a Pushing Boundaries Networking Event. Whether you work in a cultural organisation or in a local school, we’d love you to join us and meet this fabulous international, interdisciplinary team of participatory artists, who have just completed the innovative Pushing Boundaries training programme. Pushing Boundaries supports new international artists in the North West, some with lived experience of forced migration, to gain the skills and knowledge needed to work in English schools. The artists are now ready to take their next developmental steps towards work in Greater Manchester primary and secondary schools and the event will be an opportunity for you to:•	Meet and find out more about the artists involved.•	Meet and hear from the teachers involved in hosting the artists in their schools.•	Consider how you might be able to offer the next step or opportunity for one or more of these artists to develop their creative practice.•	Connect with other organisations and individuals passionate about this area of work, and those just starting to explore it.•	Meet the partner organisations and find out more about how we hope to develop this innovative new programme and why it has been created.We’ll be serving nibbles and drinks too!This event is FREE and is in-person only (with limited tickets)

<h3>Meet the Artists</h3>Fares Farraj is a dancer originally from Palestine. He has taught and facilitated creative sessions for children and young people, in Dabke, the Palestinian national folk dance.Abas El Janabi is a theatre maker and director originally from Iraq. Abas has a BA in Acting from the University of Baghdad, and a BA and MA in Theatre from the University of Manchester.Amang Kamal is a Kurdish visual artist and videographer, originally from Iraq. He trained as a visual artist in Iraq and has a BA in Fine Arts from MMUValeriia Lukianets is an actress, dancer, acting and stage movement teacher from Ukraine. She has a BA in Acting for Theatre and Cinema from Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema, and TVParisa Pirzadeh is a musician originally from Iran. She has an MA in Music Performance from Tehran Art University. Fariba Taghypoor is a musician, singer, and educationalist. She came to the UK from Iran where she was a school music teacher for 15 years. She has a BA degree in Western Classical Music and an MA in Iranian Music.Masresha Wondmu is a dancer, choreographer, and circus artist from Ethiopia. He has worked in combined art forms in circus and dance for 18 years and has continued his work since coming to the UK working as a facilitator in circus and dance.
