A massive part of that technology is code. Much of programming education is knowledge-driven, which loses context and can seem a little dry. This workshop will be driven by our eyes and curiosity, knowledge will be acquired along the road as it supports our endeavors. We will explore some programming concepts by "sketching" small, provisional, interactive visual apps in Processing. In tight iterations, we shall explore four themes: Interacting, Encoding, Emergence, and Process.

This workshop is aimed at anyone who is interested in creating with code, you don't need to be an artist or a developer. The only prerequisite is that you are curious and keen to learn with others.

The format will be a little bit of chat, a little bit of live coding and then space to experiment. We shall use this structure to iterate over the four themes. You will leave having written some code and hopefully be in a position to write more on your own.
