What is a Lightning Camp ?

It's an event which opens with Lightning Talks and provides open space for longer discussions and talks.  You can pitch your Lightning Talk before the event to (hopefully) guarantee a speaking slot.  It's essentially the best bits of a Python conference.

What/Who is compilepython.com ?

Accepted Answer

This is a new project run by Michael Sparks targetted at capturing user experiences  and sharing best practices around compiling python. This event is kicking off that project and if you care about sustainability, green computing and/or performance, you are particularly invited to come!

Where / When is this?

Accepted Answer

The host is based in the UK, but will be opening the event at 10am Canberrra / Australia time, and closing it at 5pm  PST (US west coast). The event has 3 spaces dedicated for australia, european and US timezones (broadly). This is the UK (+Europe) sign up form!
