This session will help you understand the basics of qualitative data analysis for any Healthwatch research or engagement project.

Type of event

Interactive learning session with a small group of participants. Please have your camera on if that’s possible and be prepared to speak.

Who is this event for?

This event is for Healthwatch staff who do qualitative data analysis and want to be able to interpret the results.

What you will learn?

By taking part in this session, you will:

· understand the importance and use of qualitative data in research

· explore the stages of qualitative data analysis, including data management, developing coding frameworks and identifying emerging themes.

· learn ways to minimise bias in your analysis.

· know how to use MS Excel to code up your data

· understand how to develop key findings from your coded data

· get some tips on how best to use your data in reports

· be able to ask questions and seek support from our friendly research team.
