The BES Quantitative Ecology SIG is holding its first one-day conference and annual meeting in 2018. It will be sandwiched between the International Statistical Ecology Conference, and BES Macroecology 2018 in St Andrews. We will have:

We are accepting submissions for 5 minute lightning talks and posters. Do you have research to present using quantitative methods? Or a new method or software to showcase? Submit an abstract! <H2>ACCOMMODATION</H2>
Accommodation in St Andrews will be very limited, as the town is small and as we will be competing with the golf. We recommend you book as soon as possible.
We can book up to 80 rooms through the University, which we will allocate on a first come, first served basis. These rooms are all singles within a few minutes’ walk of the conference venue and include breakfast. Nicer ensuite rooms are £124 (plus booking fee) for 2 nights; standard rooms with shared facilities (limit 20) are £98 (plus booking fee) for 2 nights. These rooms can be booked through this page (you need to buy a ticket for registration and a ticket for the accomodation).
Please note that if you are attending the Macroecology conference and would like to book accommodation from Sunday - Wednesday you should only select Sunday accommodation on this booking and tick the box to let us know the rest is booked via Macroecology registration.

<H2>TALKS AND POSTERS</H2>
We will have slots for talks and space for posters at the meeting. Talks will be 5 minutes long. There may not be enough talk slots for everyone, so priority will be given to early career researchers. Please include a rough title when you register so we have an idea of the balance of topics (you can change it later). Students will also be given the option to put themselves forward for the student plenary talk (20 minutes). We highly recommend applying; it's fun and a great thing to put on your CV.
