The Quantum Digital Twins Masterclass aims to bring together specialists in quantum simulation, tensor networks, and quantum materials to explore the future prospects of large-scale quantum simulators and the development of customized tools for emulating these devices at increasing number of qubits.This event will feature two research-intensive days, bringing leading academics and industry representatives, to showcase recent advancements in these fields.The lectures are aimed at graduate and PhD students.The presentations will highlight progress in quantum hardware, software, and methodologies for simulating quantum matter — an area where quantum computers and simulators are expected to offer advantages.The masterclass will also include two days of lectures tailored for graduate students and postdocs in quantum technologies and condensed matter physics, providing foundational and advanced insights into these cutting-edge topics.This unique format combines high-level research discussions with an educational component, reducing the barrier for entering the field and faciliating the exchange of ideas for developing new generations of quantum digital twins.Due to limited on-site capacity, there will be a selection process for in-person participation. We will notify you of your status within a week. If not selected for on-site attendance, you will have the opportunity to participate remotely. There will be a poster session on Wednesday 5 March. We expect all in-person attendees of the QDT masterclass lectures (4 and 5 March) to bring a poster to showcase some of their current research interests. Please indicate in the registration form the title of your posterRefreshments and lunch will be provided.There will also be a dinner at a local restaurant on Thursday 6 March. Please indicate in the registration form if you will be attending. For all NPL events we aim to accommodate specific needs and personal circumstances, but are reliant on individuals sharing this information with us. If you have any specific requirements or adjustments to support your attendance (whether in person or virtual), please do let us know by emailing events@npl.co.uk, so that we can discuss how we can best support you. Any information shared will be confidential and deleted after the event.This meeting is being held in Bushy House. We would like to make you aware that Bushy House is a historic listed building, built in 1663, with unique features that may present some additional barriers to those with certain accessibility or mobility requirements. If you feel you may be affected by this or would like further information in advance, please do get in touch.
