Overview
Are you a GCSE or A-Level student interested in physics? Join us for an interactive afternoon exploring the cutting-edge field of Quantum Physics, and discover what studying Physics at King's could be like for you.
Get hands-on with quantum research, hear short talks from King's research scientists, and chat to current Physics undergraduate students to find out what being a university student is really like. You can of course also explore the ‘Quantum Untangled’ exhibition during your visit. Whether you are dead set on studying Physics, or just interested in STEM subjects in general, this is the event for you!
This is a drop-in event.You are welcome to arrive any time that suits you during the afternoon. FREE ENTRY, BUT BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

Get hands on with quantum :13.00-17:30, Ground Floor
Get stuck-in with physics and explore real physics research in a series of interactive activities run by physics researchers.
Chat with a student : 13:00-18:00, Quantum Corner, Ground Floor
What is studying physics at university like? Are practical lab sessions fun? Where do you revise for your exams? Sit down with a group of current physics undergraduate students, and ask them whatever you want to know - no question too small or silly!
Meet a researcher : SGL Theatre, Level -1
Take a seat and listen to talks from King's academics. You'll get to hear about their world-leading quantum research, as well as what life is actually like as scientist at a University like King's. Talks will be running at set times throughout the afternoon – the full schedule will be released closer to the event.
Quantum Untangled Exhibition : Ground floor, first floor
This immersive exhibition, diving deep into quantum science and research will be open for the duration of this event for you to explore.
Additional information
This event is aimed at those aged 14+. Younger attendees are welcome, but please note that attendees under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For school groups, tickets are limited to 20 students per booking, to ensure a larger number of schools can attend. If you are aged 14–18 and booking for yourself, please check with a parent or guardian before booking your place.
Registration for this event will take place in reception in the main entrance to Science Gallery London. This is just next door to London Bridge Station. This is a fully accessible building, featuring a step-free entrance, accessible restrooms, and lifts to all public areas.
