Queer Art with Abz
Event Information
About this event
Abz is a queer biracial artist living here in Fife, she contibuted to the Black Lives Matter mural trail last year - recognising Sheku Boyoh - and uses her creativity, doodling, tattooing clients, activism or creating an eco-friendly vampire home on the Sims, to manifest futures and create worlds full of possibilities.
She's is inviting us all to join her in this creative venture, where we'll come together as a community and freely express ourselves - safely and with her professional expertise on hand. Where else can you find that!?
We want everyone to feel welcome, arty crafters and you thinking 'oh this isny fur me'. Come along, have a blether and maybe feel inspired, who knows. Even if you want to bring your knitting, read us a poem or show us all how to embroider - you and your creative queer energy are welcome.
Meeting every month means there's opportunity for the benefits of this creative safe space to spill out into everday life, a monthly meet to check in and simply be yourself. With Abz's help and the queer energy of the group, who knows what you simply being you can help you create in an hour - and here's more fun! You don't need any art supplies on hand, if you look around there'll be lots of potential, you'll find some excellent paint in your fridge and canvas in the recycling bin.
This will be held online, you wil recieve a Zoom link via your Eventbrite booking but PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THIS LINK so we can all create a space that's safe and inclusive to everyone.
