Grab a pritt-stick & join the Queer Diary team for an afternoon of nostalgia, crafting & the chance to create your own zine ππ Design the teen mag you wish youβd read π¨ Collage your fantasy prom-night π Create a fanzine for your first crush β€οΈβπ₯ Or simply sit & doodle with a friendly queer crowd, to a throwback soundtrack of songs from YOUR youth πΏπΆ No experience needed: Materials & instruction provided, including a stack of old teen magazines to cut up & recycle into your own Queer-tastic Zine! βοΈππ³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ Please note:
inclusivity & Community Safety: Please note this event is themed around memories of teenage years gone by, and is aimed at adult audiences. This is an-LGBTQIA+ centred space. As hosts of this workshop, we will not assume your gender or sexuality, or apply gendered pronouns or honourifics (until we learn which ones you use). To make sure everyone feels welcome in this space, we ask attendees to do the same. Discriminatory anguage or behaviour will not be tolerated (including - but not limited to - transphobia, biphobia, homophobia, sexism, racism, xenophobia, classism, ablism, fatphobia). If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable in the space, please tell the event organisers. We may take a few photos at this event, to publicise future workshops like this - if you'd prefer not to be in photos, or want to be anonymised in any pictures we publish on our social media, etc, please let us know, we want to make sure we respect your privacy
