Overview

A talk and creative writing workshop by Sebastià Portell

Queer Realities, Queer Forms

Sebastià Portell is a writer, translator, and curator from Mallorca, who writes about - and within - textual and experiential frontiers such as gender, sexuality or cultural identities. He has written two novels, a few theatre plays and has been the curator of the first LGBTQIA+ anthology in Catalan poetry.

In this event, we will explore queer realities and their representation across diverse forms of contemporary literature. This event will bring together bilingual readings (English and Catalan) and an interactive creative writing workshop, inviting participants not only to engage with powerful texts but to craft new queer narratives themselves.

No Catalan knowledge is required

This activity is brought to you through theUniversity of Sheffield and Institut Ramon Llull
