Queer Roadshow; The Bethany Project
Bethany Project was a house of rest and respite in Bodmin, for people living with HIV/AIDS, their carers and families, offering short term care. Bethany had an international reach and was one of the earliest respite care homes in the UK, set up in 1988. Its history, however, is not recorded in archives, museums or local memory. Queer Kernow have been documenting the history of Bethany, recording oral histories from those that remember it. This event is to share that research, to offer a place for people to come and share their recollections, photos or stories of Bethany.
