Lang Toun Cycles is a community bike shop in the heart of Kirkcaldy. We offer cycle servicing and repairs, sales of refurbished bikes, new ebikes and cycling accessories, a bike and electric-bike loan scheme, bike maintenance training and volunteering opportunities.

This bike maintenance class will teach you how to adjust and repair your brakes.

Bike Maintenance Workshops

Lang Toun Cycles run a range of bike maintenance workshops to help you take care of your bike day to day.

Stopping in time and in an emergency is essential for cycling safety. Having your brakes in proper working order makes this happen. We will show you how to change your cables, brake blocks or disk pads, and how to adjust them. Keeping them clean is also a necessity which we will discuss. Delivered by Lang Toun Cycles’ experienced cycle mechanics, anyone can register for this course. No previous experience necessary.Water, Tea and coffee will be availableIdeally you should bring along your own, clean bike if you like, or use one of our provided bikes. We will provide the required tools, protective equipment and work stands. Please wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty.Booking InfoThis event is free to attend, but booking is required.
