An MDT approach to Imaging in Rectal Cancer: Radiology, Radiotherapy & Resection


Overview of the event:

This multi-disciplinary course integrates expertise from radiology, clinical oncology, and surgery to review imaging's role in rectal cancer management. It emphasizes MDT collaboration and a shared understanding of the importance of imaging across specialties, highlighting its impact on treatment decisions and outcomes. The study day features interactive case-based training, keynote speakers, clinical debates, and simulated MDT discussions.

  • Radiotherapy planning

  • Resection planning
  • MDT workshop in imaging academy
  • MDT management of rectal cancer case discussion

This is a fully in-person course

Audience:

The study day is aimed at doctors (inc residents/ speciality trainees), nurses, radiographers and allied health care professionals working with cancer patients.

Location:

The event will be held in the Education Centre Auditorium and North West Imaging Academy, within The Christie.

Venue Information:

The Christie Education Centre is located on the 2nd floor in Dept 17 of the main hospital and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Toilets are also on this floor including an accessible toilet. The auditorium has a hearing loop available and ramp access. A prayer room is available and close by. We want everyone attending our event in person to have the best possible experience.
