Raspberry Jam @ Google Digital Garage, Glasgow

The Raspberry Pi Foundation (registered charity 1129409) works to put the power of digital making into the hands of people all over the world, so they are capable of understanding and shaping our increasingly digital world, able to solve the problems that matter to them, and equipped for the jobs of the future.We provide low-cost, high-performance computers that people use to learn, solve problems and have fun. We provide outreach and education to help more people access computing and digital making. We develop free resources to help people learn about computing and how to make things with computers, and train educators who can guide other people to learn.

Raspberry Pi Foundation

We're holding a Raspberry Jam at the <A HREF="http://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/libraries/the-mitchell-library/Pages/Digital-Google-Garage.aspx" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Google Digital Garage</A> based at the <A HREF="http://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/libraries/the-mitchell-library/Pages/home.aspx" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mitchell Library</A> in Glasgow! It's a family-friendly event - everyone is welcome. We'll be providing coding and digital making activities for children and adults to participate in, to have fun and learn with the Raspberry Pi computer. Jams are a great way to share ideas and meet like-minded people.
Activities
We will provide Raspberry Pi kits, worksheets and everything you'll need for our prepared informal activities. Experts from the Foundation and our community will be on hand to help.
Show-and-tell
If you have a project you'd like to bring along, please feel free. We'd love to showcase your home projects to demonstrate what can be done with the Pi.
Food
We will provide a light lunch buffet for attendees. Vegetarian options will be available. Alternatively, there are local shops and cafes nearby.
Start and end time
The event will open at 10.00am and an opening talk will start proceedings. The rest of the day will be unscheduled, and will close at 4.00pm.
FAQs:
Who can come?
Anyone. There’s no lower or upper age limit, and no prior knowledge is required. Jams regularly get under 8s and over 60s attending.
Do I need to know any programming?
No. If you want to learn to code, we can help.
Do I need any equipment?
No. We will provide Raspberry Pi setups and accessories. Feel free to bring your own too.
Can I buy a Raspberry Pi from you on the day?
We will not have anything available to buy on the day, but we can recommend distributors. 
Can I drop my kids off and pick them up at the end?
No. Children under 16 must be supervised at all times. Adults supervising children must order a ticket. 
I can’t get there for the 10am start. Is that ok?
That’s fine. You can come and leave as you please.
I ordered a ticket but now I can’t make it. What do I do?
If you go in to your eventbrite account and view your order, you can cancel it to allow someone else to take your place.
