About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Supported Internships are accessible work-based training programmes for young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) which bridge college education and employment. A small group of young people aged 16-25 have the opportunity to try out three different work placements with the support of the job coach to enhance their workskills. The ultimate aim of a supported internship is to prepare young people who wish to take their next step into paid employment with the skills and experiences to be ready and successful in achieving their employment aspirations. The Open Day is an opportunity to find out more about the RBKC programme based at the Town Hall, High Street Kensington, meet the team and learn more about the work placements offered. Information will be provided on the day about the application process for those interested to join the programme in September 2025.
