Social by name and social by nature, come and enjoy a social evening of mingling, networking and insightful talks with like minded folk with a passion for showcasing their passions on social media.The evening will feature two inspiring guest speakers discussing their love of promoting and showcasing their passion for what they do through video and photography on social media. She is also a regular columnist and host of various corporate and charitable events in the south.Guest Speakers include:Guest Speaker 1: Ellisha-Jade WhiteHaving worked in social media for 11 years, Ellisha-Jade has done everything from blogging to TikTok, small business to big business university marketing. A visual eye and creative marketing techniques come from experience and a marketing degree, as well as now studying a Psychology degree to explore the link between this and social media marketing as a whole. Mirror Digital Media was set up in 2016 to cater for smaller businesses that needed marketing help, and Southampton Focus was launched in 2017 to fill the gap of local online tourism marketing.Guest Speaker 2: Maya GeorgeMaya George is a journalist at the Daily Echo. After starting her career as an apprentice at a Bournemouth newspaper, she swapped her long commute for a paper closer to home. During her time in the industry she has learnt how to successfully engage people with news content on social media, particularly on Instagram. Maya is now venturing into the world of TikTok. She’s had viral successes on the app; from a review of a pizza vending machine to a video of a near-miss on a zebra crossing. However, viral dance videos are not her forte.
