Ben is committed to supporting people to embrace the full spectrum of what it means to be alive; to learn, to grow, to heal, to grieve, to thrive!The key to his work is the recognition that there is a natural intelligence within everyone that is always available to inspire, heal and guide. This Re-Evolution Dance journey will focus on dancing into our relationship with this amazing planet Earth that call home and are so blessed to live on. We live in pivotal times and we are all part of shaping our shared future. However it looks for us we all have our parts to play and our own grief, challenges, and longings that come from waking up to where we are as a species and stepping up to the responsibility of this awareness. It may be a very internal dialogue or it may be big obvious external actions or a meeting of these places. Whatever your condition and place on this journey you are invited to take it into the dance, to offer up all the knowns and unknowns to the intelligence of your body and the intelligence of life. This is the power, potency, and potential of the dance. It is a safe and held space to explore what it means to be you, your relationship with others and the world around you. We will journey with the maps of Movement Medicine of which the fundamental practice is Awakening the Dancer. To awaken the dancer involves bringing awareness and attention through movement, to our body, heart, and mind. It is a very simple yet profound practice. Essentially this is why it’s called conscious dance as we are bringing our consciousness into our body, by being aware of our moving body. As a conscious embodiment practice, this in essence means:You are held in a safe space. You dance with bare feet or suitable footwear.There is a sharing circle and informal arrival time, but there is no talking/socialising within the dance journey itself.There is simple guided facilitation and plenty of word free time for you to journey with whatever's moving for you. If you are not familiar with conscious dance then I encourage you to be in touch and find out more, as it opens many possibilities for our love of dance than the settings that are generally available. This class is not about moving or dancing in a certain way, it’s about you exploring and meeting more of who you are in relation to the world.
