Re-walk Segment 11 from One Tree Hill (meet Honor Oak Park Station) to North Greenwich

On Friday May 17 from 5.30pm-8.45pm + (or join us in Greenwich Park @ 7.30pm for short walk)

Re-Walk Segment 11 Join InspiralLondon’s Charlie Fox to walk from One Tree Hill to North Greenwich, with a unique shorter interlude of slow walking across Greenwich Park.

We meet promptly at the exit of Honor Oak Park Station (Overground), before walking up to One Tree Hill and viewing the source of the river Peck. From there we start out on a sensory walk that explores Urban Trees/Undergrowth/Urban Forest Canopy and 3 rivers - this hidden underexplored nature that intertwines and meanders among the tarmac, concrete and brick.

For those unable to make the start but would like to experience a short inspirallondon walk

Come and join us in the evening for a short slow walking from 7.30pm and experience London walking in a totally other way. We will meet together near the entrance of Greenwich Royal Observatory (By the Meridian Line) for gentle Slow walking with InspiralLondon Artist Rachel Gomme. And as the sunsets over London explore the trees and their forest canopy in full Spring.

This interlude of slow walking where we take time to sense into and savour the delicate details of our own movement, and the beings, substances and flows around us.

Part of InspiralLondon ReWalk, ReMap, ReTell 2024-2025 And The Urban Tree Festival 2024

From Spring 2024 to 2025 InspiralLondon sets out to rewalk, remap and retell the 300 mile spiral trail, first walked in 2015. We invite all kinds of walkers, urban explorers and the curious to experience the magic of this unique pathway.

The Urban Tree Festival is an annual community celebration of trees, including their benefits, beauty, majesty, and magic, in cities, towns and all urban environments. Events, celebrations, walks, talks and storytelling are held across London and the UK, bringing all our communities together to educate, inspire and share their enjoyment of trees.

Organized by

InspiralLondon CIC is a non-profit project - a collective of walking artists, project associates (urban planning, geography, ecology, architecture) and urban explorers - working together to create then nourish a 300 mile spiralling walking trail through the whole of London. Conceived as an artist-led walking project to create an urban/semi-urban walking trail through Metropole of London, under the umbrella of MT (Metropolitan Trails 2013). The route follows both existing footpaths and passageways, while creating new ways in which to explore and find a way through the city. The trail is an invitation for all to explore, rediscover and reconnect with their city; to begin to rethink the urban, the metropolitan and its relation to other and to inhabiting place.
