Connect (formerly SPTC) provides support to Parent Councils and Parent Teacher Associations across Scotland. We run free training sessions for parents and provide support by email and social media. We have lots of great parent-friendly resources to try and help parents make parental involvement in children's education as good as it can be. Join us for this session to look at the fundamentals around rebooting and refreshing your parent group

This session for Connect Members will look at the fundamentals of running a Parent Group, offer a range of tips, and advice on where to find guidance and support.This will include:• ideas for encouraging parents/carers to join your Parent Council/committee• bring new energy to your parent group• help groups to feel more confident around their role• good practice• the essentials for running your group• working with and supporting the school.Groups restarting again, new groups, or groups that have experienced a pause may find this session especially useful.
