Overview

Learn how to give new life to preloved jewellery in this workshop led by Scottish maker Jo Pudelko.

Learn how to give new life to preloved jewellery in this practical jewellery workshop led by Scotland-based maker Jo Pudelko. In this workshop participants will be given a unique collection of donated pre-owned jewellery to remake these pieces into a new design and finished piece. Cold connections will be taught by Jo Pudelko, with all necessary tools and materials provided. The finished pieces will have the opportunity to be showcased in an exhibition at the Elements Festival of Jewellery, Silver and Gold this November.

This workshop will be held at the Glasgow School of Art (GSA),in partnership with the Incorporation of Goldsmiths (IOG) as part of the Change Making Symposium.

Tickets for the symposium can be purchased here:

The Ethical Making Resource has been created by the Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh, which trades as the Edinburgh Assay Office, and is Scotland's oldest consumer protection group. We have hundreds of years of experience in third-party, independent assessment and we are now applying that experience to one of the most important issues in the industry today: making ethically and sustainably in a global world.

The Incorporation of Goldsmiths is committed to helping makers on their journey towards ethical making. We do this through our annual symposiums, a range of grants and our Ethical Making Pledge with the Scottish Art Colleges.
