This course will enable you to gain more understanding of the impact of ageing, cognitive impairment and dementia on the body and brain.You will have the opportunity to share and use your experiences of your journey of dementia or caring for someone with dementia, use them positively to improve your well-being and develop recovery focused advance care planning.The course will highlight the impact of the diagnosis on loved ones and will provide them with meaningful information about the available support.Recommendations to support services and opportunities for further training will be made.

Welcome to Recovery College NHFT where we deliver courses on Mental Health, Neurodiversity and Wellbeing.

You are invited to join our courses if you live in Northamptonshire and access Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust services. You need to be over 18, a current or previous service user, a family member, friend, carer, one of our partner organisations, or NHFT staff.

Our courses are produced and presented by a health professional and someone who has personally experienced their own health issues.
