Reflective Practice for Coaches: Taster Session

Dr Carole Pemberton is an ICF accredited coach and coach supervisor whose practice extends across the public, private and not for profit sectors. She works with UK based and international organisations. She is Visiting Professor in Coaching for the University of Ulster and a Faculty member of the Academy of Executive Coaching.She is the author of a number of books on career, coaching and management issues. In recent years she has developed a particular interest in resilience and her book Resilience: A Practical Guide for Coaches was nominated as coaching book of the year.She knows for herself the value of having reflective space to gain perspective and ignite new insights, and as someone who lives in Brighton she wants to bring her love of coaching and admiration of coaches to those who are looking for a way of learning with others.

To coach is a privilege, and one which brings personal rewards. It is also demanding. As a coach you face challenges which you often have to manage alone:

<LI>Finding new ways of working with a client when what you are doing isn’t working</LI>
<LI>Recovering from setbacks</LI>
<LI>Reflecting on a coaching session with a learning rather than a self-critical eye</LI>

For all of these reasons, it is important that coaches have time and space to reflect on their work.
Dr Carole Pemberton is launching such a group to support coaches in working together to increase insight, confidence and success.
The group will provide a safe supportive space for looking at how you are working, led by a coach who has over 20 years experience of leading her own executive coaching practice.
 The offer
To give you a taste of how a reflective practice group works together, Carole is offering a one-off taster session.
The taster session will allow participants to experience a group approach to reflective practice and to decide if they would wish to join a regular group, which will meet from February 2019 on a monthly basis
 10 places are available.
Who is it for?
The taster session is for any coach at whatever stage of their experience who wants to:

<LI>Learn with other coaches facing the same challenges</LI>

The venue
We will be working in a quiet space in the roof of a converted church.  This requires the ability to climb a number of stairs.
