This interactive training will provide an overview of the UK asylum process and how it impacts on the wellbeing of people seeking asylum in the UK. If you are new to working with asylum seekers, or need a refresher of the legal system that dictates their lives, this training is for you. It will cover:<ul><li>Definitions: who is a refugee according to the 1951 Refugee Convention? what does it mean to by an asylum seeker?</li><li>Navigating the UK asylum process</li><li>The support available to asylum seekers</li></ul>This training will be offered online to make it accessible to as many as possible.If you cannot attend this event, we also offer trainings to organisations and groups - have a look at our website to find out more: https://www.bristolrefugeerights.org/training/
