Refugee Week DJ Workshop
Learn to DJ as part of Islington's Refugee Week
These beginner-friendly DJ taster sessions are designed for Islington residents interested in exploring music, creativity and DJ culture in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Participants will be introduced to the basics of DJing, including how DJ equipment works, simple mixing techniques, rhythm and phrasing, and the role of music and culture in community and club spaces. The sessions will include hands-on opportunities to try the decks, ask questions, and experiment with sound - no previous experience needed.
Stephen's Ink Community Centre is a two minute walk from Arsenal tube station - the centre is situated inside the estate, please follow the signs from Gillespie Road.
These events are open to all Islington residents with priority spaces for refugees and asylum seekers, as part of Islington's Refugee Week 2026.
