This workshop is designed to introduce translators and interpreters to regular expressions.

<h3>Description:</h3><p>This hands-on workshop can prove very useful to translators and interpreters who work on a regular basis with repetitive text and do not want to spend too much time repeating the same actions.</p><p>The workshop is designed to introduce translators and interpreters to regular expressions and explain how these can improve your productivity. It does not require any prior knowledge of regular expressions or programming, or access to specialised software. Participants only need to have installed a simple program such as Notepad++ to follow and practice with the suggested exercises. These include tasks like identification of dates, cleaning of translation memories and pre-editing of texts for MT.</p>
