In a world where austerity is described as “necessary,” where rising poverty is explained as “complex,” where migrant deaths are reported as numbers not lives, and where extinction is normalised as “the cost of progress,” we are asked to adapt rather than resist.

In this first workshop of an Introduction to Relational Disobedience, we’ll gather in story, conversation, and reflection:

  • The Story – The Bargain of the Mirror King: a parable of a community seduced into trading care for compliance.
  • The Essay – We Have Accepted the Unacceptable: exploring how inequality, extinction, and austerity are framed as inevitable.
  • The Guide: with practices to help us see, name, and gently resist the bargains we make every day.
