Saturday, Feb 21, 2026 from 10 am to 5 pm GMT
Overview

Hands-on in-person workshop exploring relational psychotherapy techniques you can apply directly in clinical practice

Facilitator: Alistair Berlin

Date & Time: Saturday 21 February 2026 | 10:00 – 17:00 (UK time)

Format: In-Person

This immersive, practice-oriented workshop bridges relational psychotherapy theory and live clinical skills. Participants will explore concrete relational techniques that can be applied immediately in client work through didactic teaching, structured clinical role-play, live clinical conundrums, group discussion, and reflective exercises. Bring your own clinical examples for experiential practice.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Distinguish between one-person, one-and-a-half-person, and two-person psychologies in practice.
  • Recognise and work with process-level material distinct from narrative content.
  • Apply specific relational interventions in the here-and-now therapeutic relationship, including judicious self-disclosure.
  • Navigate mutuality, asymmetry, and enactments using countertransference as a clinical resource.
  • Work within the client’s window of tolerance to introduce relational challenge safely and effectively.

Tickets

  • Students: £100
  • Members: £125
  • External attendees: £160

(Members may self-certify at checkout — eligibility may be verified post-registration.)
