Join me for a really relaxed, informal and mindful session of unwinding and open ended creating.
Join me for a calm hour of mindfulness and creating, where the emphasis is gentle focus and relaxation.
Theme
This session's theme is self compassion.
The theme is intended as a starting point, rather than something that needs to be stuck to rigidly. It's entirely open to your own interpretation.
You can also ignore the theme if it's not resonating with you right now!
How this art session works
This is an open ended session where you choose what you create. It's time for you to relax and unwind, using art and mindfulness to unwind, create and play!
My art sessions are open to anyone*, regardless of when the last time you made art was. The emphasis is on slowing down and creative self care, not what your art looks like. There are no skills taught. There's nothing that can be done wrong (or right).
The structure of the sessions
We start with a brief check in via the Zoom chat (I'll ask you what colour you feel like right now!).
Then I lead an optional mindfulness meditation, to help settle into the present moment and let go of your to-do list.
I'll give some ideas of where you might like to start. We'll then all create art in our own way, together, all muted on Zoom. I'll play some relaxing music to help set the mood.
There is time to share at the end if you'd like to - there is never any pressure to share or speak.
What you'll need
Whatever art materials you'd like to use are absolutely perfect! (E.g. paints, pens, pencils, collage materials, recycled packaging... whatever you fancy!)
Your safety
- *This session is open to those aged 16 and older.
- Please note this is not art therapy.
This session includes an optional mindfulness meditation to help you relax. It will last around 10 minutes. Whilst mindfulness meditation is generally a very safe practice, there are some contraindications:
As we will be focussing on the breath, if you have asthma or a serious breathing difficulty, please have a fully charged inhaler with you.
As relaxation can trigger epileptic seizures, if you have epilepsy that is not controlled by medication, please seek your doctor's permission before joining.
When booking your place you agree to the above terms and conditions and agree that you have read and fully understand the terms and conditions around health care. Ultimately, the responsibility to take the best care of yourself lies with you.
Lovely words
“Eden’s art class was soothing because it provided an hour or so to stop, breathe and enjoy the process. I’d highly recommend giving one of her classes a go, whatever your skill level or experience. It was a calming point of my day.”
“Loved today’s session after a particularly stressful week. Thank you. I feel loads better now.”
Refund policy
I'm sorry but there are no refunds.
