This interactive event will explore the themes outlined in Reparations, our perspectives paper set to be published in mid-September. We show how reparations are not only necessary, but achievable. When done right, they benefit us all.
Reparations features contributions from leading academics and organisations offering diverse perspectives on both the case for reparations and the lived experiences surrounding it.
The event will feature a keynote address by Gary Younge (Journalist, Author, Broadcaster, and Editor-at-large for The Guardian), followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion chaired by Joseph Harker (Senior Editor, The Guardian), audience Q&A, and interactive breakout sessions where participants will be able to share their perspectives and engage directly in smaller discussion groups.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Dr Shabna Begum (CEO, Runnymede Trust)
- Professor Keon West (Head of Research, Runnymede Trust)
- Gary Younge (Journalist, Author, Broadcaster and editor-at-large for The Guardian)
- Joseph Harker (Senior Editor, The Guardian)
This event is free to attend but registration is required. Spaces are limited - book early to secure your place.
