Want to learn how to replace PVC windows?Come along to this practical demonstration where you’ll observe and learn the essential steps required to remove and replace a PVC window safely and effectively. Please note: taking part in the demo isn’t guaranteed and will depend on the instructor’s judgment on the day. This is for safety reasons. This session will cover:<ul><li>How to measure accurately for replacement windows</li><li>Key considerations for complying with building regulations</li><li>Step-by-step removal of an existing window</li><li>Installation techniques, including fixings and trims needed for a professional finish</li></ul> If you are looking to understand the process, this workshop will provide valuable insights and practical tips. Important - Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. The workshop will take place in a property that’s currently being upgraded to improve its energy efficiency. A lot of work is still being carried out, so the environment will be similar to a construction site. For that reason, safety is especially important. Transport info:There is restricted on-street vehicle parking by the NEP Hub, limited to two hours. Please be aware there is residential permit holder parking in place in the area. Therefore, we recommend either walking or cycling to the Hub. If you are travelling from further afield, there are the following options using public transport, or park and rides:Buses:The nearest bus stops are on London Road (Trent Bridge Victoria Embankment stops) and are served by the following bus routes:<ul><li>The Navy Line (including 1A, B, E, 3, 3A, 4 and N4),</li><li>The Green Lines 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (including 9B), 10 (including 10C, X), 11 (including 11A, C).</li><li>The Kinchbus 9</li><li>Plus bus routes 19, 33, 90 (90A), 92, COT the cotgrave, KC the keyworth, RM mainline and RV1 rushcliffe villager.</li></ul>The closest tram stop is Meadows Embankment on the tram line to Clifton South. It is an 0.7 mile walk along Bathley Street to the NEP Hub.Nottingham Train Station is a just a one mile walk along Arkwright Walk to the NEP Hub.
