Please join us for Reproductive Technologies, a presentation of work by four artists, exploring the position of bodies within systems of production and reproduction.  The day will include a performative lecture by Melanie Jackson; a screening of work by Victoria Sin; a reading of an especially commissioned text by Kirsty Hendry and new work produced by Alexander Hetherington.  The event is the culmination of a six month reading group. The works presented will explore how gender, motherhood, and sexual difference emerge within and produce new scientific technologies. What are the political and cultural implications of these technologies and how does language re-produce and consume different bodies?  1.30pm:          Tea and Coffee 2-3pm:            Melanie Jackson  3-3.30pm:       Victoria Sin  3.30-4pm:       Kirsty Hendry 4-4.30pm:       Break 4.30-6.30pm:  Alex Hetherington 7pm:               Drinks We have a small budget set out for childcare and travel expenses for those in need and the unemployed.
