Researcher Inauguration welcome event
Date and time
Description
The Bristol Doctoral College warmly invites all postgraduate research students who have started their research degree in the 2018/19 academic year to our special Researcher Inauguration event on Thursday, 18 October from 4:30 to 6pm.
Bristol’s outstanding research profile is underpinned by the contribution of our postgraduate researchers. This special event is an opportunity to celebrate the early stage of your research degree and find out about the opportunities available to you throughout your time as a research student.
You’ll receive your official welcome from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hugh Brady, and hear from current researchers about how best to achieve your research ambitions during your time here in Bristol. You’ll also receive a complimentary University of Bristol scarf.
Bristol's culture of innovation, outstanding facilities and unique opportunities will help you achieve your research ambitions. However, it is also our rich and vibrant research community that makes our University a special place to do your research. This event will introduce you to this multidisciplinary community and enable you to become part of it.
There will be refreshments and canapés provided throughout the event, and an opportunity to meet and mingle with your fellow researchers and academics. Research supervisors are also invited to attend.
If you've started your postgraduate research degree since November 2017 and would like to attend this special event, register for your free ticket now.
