999 RESET! EMERGENCY SERVICES WEEKEND AVIEMORE: The event kicks off on Friday evening with a series of short films and a talk from guest speaker Sam Cairns from 7 pm until approximately 9 pm with light refreshments available.Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 17:00 get yourself booked into one of the workshops:<ul><li>Open water swimming, </li><li>Hill walking,</li><li>Scrambling, </li><li>Paddle boarding, </li><li>Windsurfing, </li><li>Yoga, </li><li>Crossfit, </li><li>Trail running. </li></ul>These workshops are facilitated by fully qualified instructors so no need to have prior experience to take part. The workshops will run on a morning and afternoon basis other than the scrambling which is a full day.Saturday evening will be a BBQ and a local band providing live music.Some of our professional partners who are joining us for the weekend include: Mountains mend minds, Ellis Brigham, Lifelines Scotland, Mountaineering Scotland, The Fire fighters charity, Badaguish , Able2 Adventure, CrossFit Cairngorm &amp; Trail Running Scotland.

Agenda

Sam Cairns is an entrepreneur and former Team GB biathlete, based in Feshie Bridge, near Aviemore. Sam has a passion for the outdoors, pushing his limits and encouraging others to step outside their comfort zones, though he calls himself an ordinary adventurer with an extraordinary story. His recent conquest of Mount Everest has brought international acclaim and on the Friday night he will share his inspiring story of resilience, determination, and self-discovery.

Ian Stewart will be joining us and delivering trail running workshops on both the Saturday and Sunday. Ian is a very accomplished athlete and instructor with certificates in: - International Mountain Leader - Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor - UESCA Ultrarunning Coach - British Athletics (Fell) Leadership in Running Fitness - Fundamentals certificate in Strength and Conditioning - Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing - Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician - BASI Level 2 Alpine ski instructor

Saturday and Sunday workshops - Trail Running Scotland

Mountaineering Scotland is the only recognised representative organisation for hill walkers, climbers, mountaineers and ski-tourers who live in Scotland or who enjoy Scotland’s mountains, and acts to represent, support and promote Scottish mountaineering. Mountaineering Scotland are joining us to deliver hill walking and scrambling workshops on Saturday and Sunday.

Able 2 Adventure aim to deliver outdoor activities for people of all abilities that are inspiring, engaging, compassionate and supportive of everyone’s needs.

Saturday and Sunday workshops - Able 2 Adventure

Windsurfing at Loch Morlich - Stable boards and a wide range of sail sizes make Loch Morlich Water sports a great place to learn to Windsurf. You will get kitted up in a wetsuit and buoyancy aid, there is a 'dry land' introduction and then it's on to the water. It is fast, exciting and it's wet! If you haven’t done it before don’t worry, our friendly experienced staff will give you the confidence to enjoy this exciting sport.
