Social Work England will be a specialist body taking a new approach to regulating social workers. We believe in the importance of collaboration and share a common goal with those we regulate—to protect the public, enable positive change and ultimately improve people’s lives. To help us succeed we are creating a number of opportunities to listen to those with an interest in social work, including a series of consultation events across England.These consultation events will focus on the rules and standards which we need to set before we can begin our work. This includes the standards we have drafted for social workers and training providers, and the rules we are putting in place for how:•	social workers register with us.•	we deal with concerns raised about social workers.•	we approve social work courses with education and training providers.At each event, you will have the opportunity to hear from members of the Social Work England leadership team, to test our thinking and help shape the regulator we will become. The events are open to all with a light lunch and space to network. Attendance is free but you must book in advance and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If an event sells out, you may join a waitlist. If you have registered for a ticket and cannot attend, please cancel your registration to free up a space for those on this list.Please note there may be a photographer or filmmaker present before, during and after the events. These images may be used in publicity and marketing materials for Social Work England, both on and offline. Please contact a member of staff at the event if you wish to be exempt from this activity.
