Join us for the launch of Response 5, an NTU student publication that explores the themes of climate change and sustainability

Over the course of their work placement since November 2021 a group of Nottingham Trent University students have created issue 5 of Response - a magazine collection of fictional and non-fictional texts, photographs, and other artworks in reaction to Our Silver City 2094, Nottingham Contemporary's current sci-fi meets climate change exhibition.This unique issue explores themes surrounding Liz Jensen's Our Silver City 2094, the novella that shaped the exhibition. It engages and simultaneously confronts readers about climate change and the importance of our own awareness of the deepening crisis.The upcoming launch event for Response 5 will highlight its focus on sustainability and community in art with interactive student-led activities including poetry readings, Q&amp;A session, seed planting and wire sculpting.Join us to receive your free copy of Response 5, and to meet the writers, artists, photographers and designers who have created this issue. Be one of the lucky guests to receive a copy containing limited edition artist inserts.<ul><li>Free.</li><li>15+ . Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.</li><li>Booking required.</li><li>Limited capacity.</li><li>Drinks and snacks available.</li><li>We are unable to provide British Sign Language for this event.</li><li>There will be a photography and filming at this event.</li><li>There is lift and stairs access and an accessible changing-places toilet.</li></ul>Safety during your visit Due to COVID precautions, we will not be offering a group social conversation in the café after this event as normal.Please do not attend this event if you/someone in your household is currently COVID-19 positive, has suspected symptoms, or is awaiting test results.Social distancing for this event will be relaxed. Staff will be wearing face masks; all visitors are encouraged to wear a face mask in all areas (unless medically exempt).Masks and hand-sanitser are available.
