Event description

Description

Restorative practice is a term used to describe a way of being, an underpinning ethos, which enables us to build and maintain healthy relationships, resolve difficulties and repair harm when relationships breakdown. It embodies a set of core beliefs, principles and a way of being with people that proactively promotes building a sense of community and developing social capital. It creates a common language, a common approach for fostering a sense of social responsibility and shared accountability.

The lively and participative taster day will cover the use of restorative practice, key principles and informal everyday skills building in your area of practice.

This workshop is for paid and unpaid staff who work in health and care in the borough of Lambeth.

Trainer: Mark Finnis of www.markfinnis.com specialises in whole system implementation of Restorative and Relational Based Practice across Children & Adult services, Schools and Communities. He and his team support many places around the UK including Leeds, West Berkshire, Hull and Lincolnshire as well as internationally.

Registration: Registration is from 9.30am with a 10am session start time.

Refreshments: We will provide tea, coffee, snacks and lunch for all attendees.
