Overview

A deeply restful sound bath to support the nervous system and gently welcome the first stirrings of spring

Restorative Sound bath -Imbolc and a Gentle Awakening

You are warmly invited to a restorative sound bath guided by the energy of Imbolc — the seasonal threshold between winter and spring.

Imbolc reminds us that although new life is beginning to stir beneath the surface, the earth is still resting. This session honours that same rhythm within us: the need for deep nourishment, slowness, and safety, alongside the quiet awakening of new intentions and possibilities.

We will begin with a short, gentle guided meditation to help the body settle and the nervous system soften. From there, you’ll be immersed in the soothing sounds of crystal and metal singing bowls and other therapeutic instruments, designed to support rest, regulation, and a sense of being held.

This is not about “pushing forward” or forcing change.
It is an invitation to rest deeply, to listen inwardly, and to allow whatever is ready to awaken to do so at its own pace.

The space will be calm, grounded, and trauma-aware, with an emphasis on choice, comfort, and self-regulation throughout.

What to Expect

  • Gentle guided relaxation to settle the nervous system
  • A nourishing, immersive sound bath
  • A focus on rest, safety, and softness
  • Space to reflect on what is quietly emerging for you this year
  • A calm, supportive studio environment
  • You are welcome to lie down or sit, adjust your position as needed, and take care of yourself in whatever way feels right.

🌱 This Session May Be Especially Supportive If You:

  • Feel tired, overwhelmed, or sensitive
  • Are craving deep rest rather than stimulation
  • Are navigating anxiety, burnout, or nervous system fatigue
  • Want to mark Imbolc in a gentle, embodied way
  • Are curious about intention-setting that feels kind and unforced

No prior experience with sound baths, meditation, or yoga is needed.

Practical Information

  • Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in
  • Bring anything that helps you feel comfortable on the floor (yoga mat, blow up matress, extra layers, socks, blankets)
  • A water bottle
  • An open heart and permission to rest

About the Facilitator

Tara is an experienced professional musician, music teacher, vocal coach, and sound therapist, with training from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the International Sound Healing Academy.

With over 20 years’ experience performing and teaching music, Tara has spent most of her life using sound as a way to create meaningful connection. Her work has spanned a wide range of settings, including bands, special schools, care homes, and community spaces. For the past three years, she has been offering restorative sound baths in and around Bristol and Wales.

Tara’s approach to sound is gentle, intentional, and nervous-system–aware. Her sound baths are designed to support deep rest and regulation, beginning with a short guided meditation and unfolding into softly played, spacious sound. Rather than intensity or constant stimulation, she prioritises careful listening, attunement, and allowing the body to settle in its own time.

Her work is rooted in the understanding that sound can positively influence our physical, emotional, and energetic states — not by force, but through presence, sensitivity, and trust.
