<H1 STYLE="text-align: center;">Demonstration: Public views of family witnessed resuscitation</H1>
Generally, when a patient needs resuscitation due to a sudden heart attack family members are asked to step outside while healthcare professionals perform their duties. However, it is known that increasingly patients and relatives would like to have the option to be at the bedside in these circumstances, while many would like to be present with their loved one during life saving measures. 
The event aims to engage with the public about their views and attitudes to family members being present at the resuscitation of a loved one. Participants will observe and take-part a simulated scenario of patient being resuscitated after collapsing due to heart attack and then invited to explore issues arising from this role play. 
PLEASE NOTE: this event is only suitable for over 18’s, and it is recommended that those who have suffered a recent bereavement should not attend.
Book your free place if you'd like to take part in this hands-on debate and pick up some Basic Life Support (BLS) skills at the same time.
Venue: Bristol Green Capital 2015 Lab
Time: 45 min sessions at 6pm, 8pm,7pm and 9pm
