What speed do you walk at?

We walk an average of 2.5-2.7 mph (roughly 4km per hour)

Is this open to all abilities?

Yes! Whether you are a pro walker or a beginner, please do join us.

Question 3

What happens if I am slower then the group?

Accepted Answer

Don't worry, you will not be forgotten, as in each walk, there is a designated back marker, who will be at the back of the pack and will stay with you, so you won't get lost. Plus the front of the group will wait at points along the walk, to pull the group together.

Is the walk FREE?

Accepted Answer

Yes, both membership to Retro Ramblers and its walks are free, so anyone can join. However, Retro Rambler/Peggy-Sue does fundraise for the Dogs Trust, and will have a collection tub at every walk, if anyone wants to donate or they can visit: https://www.justgiving.com/page/lovablerogue

If the unfortunate happens and I have a fall, is there a First Aider?

Yes, whilst everyone taking part in these walks, do so at their own risk, there will be a First Aid Trained person carrying a basic first aid kit, with plasters, blister plasters, KT Tape, etc. If you are on any medication, please do carry them with you, especially inhalers and EpiPens!

Are children allowed on your walks?

Yes, but you are responsible for your own children, so please keep them with you, and they must walk at the pace of the group. The participants are not childminders.

Question 7

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome on this walk. However, I cannot guarantee that they are welcome at any café/pub we visit during/at the end of a walk.
