In this GCHU seminar, speakers will discuss retrofitting and designing healthy built environments and  how  buildings  can help our health

About this eventThe <a href="https://www.gchu.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation</a> (GCHU) Public Seminar series brings together members of the public, researchers and practitioners interested and engaged in urban health issues. The principal aim of the series is to provoke debate and constructive action, linking current best practice in urban development with emerging areas of health research.We have invited four speakers to pitch their perspectives on the debates around how to create healthy cities.About the panellists:Professor Rajat Gupta, Professor of Sustainable Architecture and Climate Change at Oxford Brookes University. Dr Anna Ulrikke Andersen, Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, part of the <a href="https://www.disobedientbuildings.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Disobedient Buildings</a> project.Michael O’Connor, Oxfordshire County Councillor, BPhil Philosophy student and GCHU Intern.Dr Sydney Ayers Mercer, Tutor in Architecture and Urbanism, The Prince’s Foundation.This in-person event is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served from 17:00. The talk will begin at 17:30, followed by a drinks reception at 18:30.Please note that we will be recording this event and a link to view it will be available on the <a href="https://www.gchu.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GCHU website</a> at a later date. There will also be a photographer taking photos at the event.If you unable to attend after booking, please email events@kellogg.ox.ac.ukIf you have symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with someone with Covid-19, please do not attend this event.
