Join us for a drop-in workshop to help shape the next iteration of Akeelah Bertram’s artwork Return.Return began as an interactive installation in 2019 and has since evolved into a web-based work that will capture contributions from people around the world. Return seeks to investigate how we can facilitate meaningful connection across the globe, reflecting on the lived experiences of the African diaspora.Through a series of drop-in workshops, participants will create a rich resource of stories, ideas and provocations around shared cultural and social heritage. These conversations will inform a series of four podcasts produced and broadcast by Sable Radio in Leeds in early 2023. Return is produced by Mediale and supported by Arts Council England and the University of Leeds.Drinks will be provided.
