Can I come to this event even if I go to Confession regularly?

Yes, please come along. Anyone who wants to better understand the Sacrament of Confession is warmly invited to this event.

Can I come to 'Return' even if I am not Catholic or preparing to become Catholic?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. 'Return' is a great way to learn about this treasure of the Catholic faith. It is also a great way to prepare for your First Confession and regular frequenting of the sacrament thereafter, if you are preparing to enter the Church.

Can I come to 'Return' if I am not Catholic but my child is - so I want to learn more?

Yes, 'Return' would also be a wonderful aid to parents whose children are receiving the Sacrament of Confession.

Question 4

Do I have to go to Confession?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not have to go to Confession. You are welcome to simply enjoy the time of prayer and/or leave if orwhen you need to. There will be five priests from a number of different parishes at the event, so if you want to go to Confession it is a good opportunity.

Is this event connected with the Holy Year 2025?

Yes, sandiches and fruit/biscuits will be provided, including vegetarian fillings. If you have a food allergy/intolerance please bring a packed lunch.

Yes, there is free parking at The Gillis Centre, including extra spaces behind the Church.
