The University of Liverpool will be opening its doors to the public to allow them to sample what it's like studying as a mature student.

On Tuesday 18th April, the University of Liverpool will be opening its doors to the public to allow them to sample a range of what it offers in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The day will feature hands-on workshops with the English Department; the Music Department will be posing the question of ‘What can Eurovision teach us?’ and Philosophy will be considering the representation of time travel in films. Visitors will also be given a tour of the campus and the Garstang Museum – the University’s collection of archaeology.The Return to Learn Day is aimed at adults who have been out of education for some time, and for anyone who may be considering returning to study as a mature student. The event is being hosted by Go Higher, the University of Liverpool’s unique access diploma, designed for adult learners as a fast-track entry route into undergraduate study. Whether you’re considering taking a degree as a mature student, or just want to see what goes on in a University, the Return to Learn Day gives you an opportunity to find out more. You will be able to talk to staff and current students about what it’s like studying as a mature student, as well as sampling teaching from a range of different departments.From Egyptian mummies to Conchita Wurst, the Return to Learn Day promises to offer an entertaining and educational insight into areas of the University not often seen.Refreshments and lunch will be provided.Getting to campus and car parkingYou can find details about getting to and around campus <a href="https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/maps/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>. There is limited car parking on campus. The <a href="https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/maps/visiting/car-parking/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">visitor car parks</a> are located at Brownlow Street and Mount Pleasant (opposite the Catholic Cathedral) and public car parking is available on Mount Pleasant.
