About this event

🔍What if your pursuit of diagnosis was just the beginning?

This live 2.5 hour webinar invites you into a transformative space to explore neurodivergence as more than a medical label. Together we’ll reflect on the stories we’ve been handed and begin the deeper work of restorying our identities through cultural, embodied, and transpersonal lenses.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, exploring self-identification, or long aware but still searching for deeper meaning, this session is designed to support you in finding language, rhythm, and resonance on your own terms.

This is a learning and reflection-based space for people with lived experience of neurodivergence, as well as professionals supporting neurodivergent individuals in therapeutic, educational, healthcare, or community roles. The space will be anchored in lived experience and will gently invite professionals without personal experience of neurodivergence to approach with humility and curiosity.

💡 What to Expect

  • A grounding introduction to Rewriting NeuroNarratives, a liberatory framework for understanding neurodivergence beyond deficit.
  • Interactive reflection on dominant narratives: medical, cultural, spiritual, colonial and how they shape our sense of self.
  • Tools and prompts to support you in reclaiming your rhythm, intuition, and unique ways of knowing.
  • A resourcing space to connect, reflect, and shift perspective.
  • An invitation to join the full Rewriting NeuroNarratives course launching later this year.
  • Live Q&A

You can expect a balance of guided content, interactive reflection, spacious resourcing, and opportunities for questions. You’ll leave with a deeper sense of self-understanding, some practices to explore at your own pace, and a chance to connect in a shared space with others walking a similar path.

🧠 About the Facilitator

This session is led by Ima Aura, a psychotherapist, researcher, and ceremonialist with over 15 years of experience in the mental health sector. Her work draws on personal lived experience of navigating late diagnosis, racialised misrecognition, and systemic misattunement, as well as years of working alongside neurodivergent communities, including through her work with the National Autistic Society.

Rewriting NeuroNarratives was born out of a gap she witnessed, and lived, in how neurodivergence is typically framed in Western mental health and learning disability systems.

This session is a distillation of years of personal and professional inquiry into how we might rewrite our narratives in our language, time, and rhythm.
