About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

We will cover the latest products and materials and explore how collaboration between architects, consultants and manufacturers are helping create better designed, inspiring, sustainable and future-proof housing and residential development.

Speakers:

  • Stephen Witherford, Co-Founder and Director, Witherford Watson Mann who will tell us about multi-award-winning Appleby Blue, a design that drew on the historic typology of almshouses, ‘flipped’ to have a closer relationship with the city and offering an active, open building for sharing.
  • Paul Bulkeley, Founder, Snug Architects who joins us to share RIBA MacEwan Award winner Hope Street, a progressive pilot project which applies trauma informed design for women caught up in the justice system.
  • Jorge Eguiguren, Director and Architect, KKE Architects who will provide a glimpse of The Old Fire Station, a significant historical and architectural landmark originally built in c.1938, now which offers 28 luxury apartments, including a penthouse and balances modern functionality with respect for the building’s historical context.

This webinar will be chaired by Jan-Carlos Kucharek, Deputy Editor, RIBAJ

Sponsored by: VMZinc, Michelmersh, and GTC.

Organized by
