All of this is set in the beautiful surroundings of Lime Tree Farm. Experience a drumming circle in the neolithic roundhouse, a labyrinth in a stone circle, and meditation in the fairy pagoda. Connect with the spirit of Mother Earth and our ancestors in this magical natural landscape.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get to the venue?

Your sat nav can do most of the work, but you'll need to look out for the sign once you're on Hutts Lane. The post code is HG4 3DA, and you'll see the sign for Rising Bird just before you reach the destination on your sat nav. We're just outside of Grewelthorpe, about 15 min North West of Ripon

Is the venue wheelchair accesible?

Rising Bird is held across two grass fields. The ground is mostly flat and there is a disabled toilet. When the ground is dry all areas should be accessible to wheelchair and power chair users, but an alternative route to the Stone Circle should be used. In wet weather it can be muddy!

Is the event accessible for people with other disabilities/access needs?

We want Rising Bird to be accessible for as many people as possible. If you have accessibility needs, please get in touch and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. The venue is very quiet and peaceful, so there will be quiet areas for rest even during the drumming circle

Cormorant Cares is a celebrancy service run by Tom Shillito. He offers ceremonies and rituals for all of life's milestones, as well as running regular pagan and shamanic workshops and retreats.

Tom has been writing ceremonies and rituals for the pagan community for over 15 years. His interest in professional celebrancy began when he wrote his own wedding ceremony in 2016. Since then he has written and lead a wide variety of ceremonies, from weddings and funerals to pregnancy celebrations and new home blessings. He is a qualified Shamanic practitioner and Reiki healer.
